Just Read This: an opinion on the future of violence in america

The next year is going to be a shit-show.  What I do not understand is how more people do not see the evidence that someone is pushing this agenda through churches.  They have bought up radio stations all over the country and synchronize messaging. Christian Nationalism has been growing for years.  That is the sinister thing; some very small group of people with access to enormous wealth are pushing the message of violence straight in to the churches. Citizens United was all about allowing this kind of use of media to ‘spread your message’ or ‘distribute your propaganda’ depending on your point of view, I guess.

I saw a clip on the news of a GOP Rep talking to constiuents before January 6.  They were very riled up over the ‘stolen’ election and began asking “When do we go to the guns?”  The guy looked horrified to realize he was going to get people killed, and he was probably smart enough and on the inside enough to know the truth about the election; another opportunist looking to grift.

And then recently, at the CPAC meeting, one of the speakers declared that democracy was over in the United States, and that they should have succedded on January 6, and they will not fail ‘the next time.’

Chilling.

And the degree to which they have undermined our government.

I recall watching Putin come to power, consolidate power and then fend off opponents and critics.  Before he was all-powerful he used many different techniqes that could be studied, but at one point he had political opponents and the elections resembled an actual democracy.  In any case an election was brewing, and a Putin crony jumped in.  He would show up in a bomber jacket, talk like Arnold Schwarzenegger and generally try to turn all of the proceedings in to a circus.
